Hopefully someone can help me, I have run up quite big debts through credit cards and I'm wondering how long I can keep delaying my bills? Are people going to start knocking down my door soon to claim what I owe? I guess I should seek help sooner than later?

if you are in the police force then u really shouldt leave it any longer - you could get in to a lot of trouble so you would be smart to talk to your superiurs - do you really want it to go [ublic when the bailiffs start calling???

You must add up all your debts and write to the companys stating you are in talks with a debt company. Don't stop paying them but you can pay what you can afford until it it sorted with a debt company. There are a lot on the market, however be careful. A good one is PAYPLAN. Be honest and they will sort out the rest. They will give you breathing space and a payment plan can be the first option freezing all the interest at first. They will writr to the companies. Some will try and get you to deal with them. Be strong and ignore them just deal with debt company. I would change your number as you will be flooded with calls. Just deal with them by letter. Don@t PANIC ther is always a soultion. The other option is IVA and the debt company will explain that to you. I have been there and still trying to get myself out of the crap but I won't be beaton.
